This melodrama depicts a love triangle between a husband who has lost his memory, his legal wife who waits for him, and a second woman who loves him. Uhm Jung-hwa plays Hyun-ja, the second wife who starts a new family with her amnesiac husband (Yoo Dong-geun).
Sang-jin, a married man with children, suddenly disappears one day and goes missing. His legal wife, Na-young (Kim Hee-ae), continues to wait for him, when Sang-jin, now known as Yong-tae, and his new wife, Hyun-ja, appear before him. With Sang-jin's memory remaining intact, the three develop a complicated relationship. Hyun-ja is torn between Na-young, whose beloved husband has been taken away, and her husband, who lives two lives without his memory.
Uhm Jung-hwa's sensitive portrayal of a woman who suffers because of her pure love for her husband garnered sympathy from viewers. Her performance, which deviates from her usual glamorous image and is filled with sadness and grief, earned her acclaim for her outstanding acting.
