This is a gritty suspense film about the statute of limitations for the kidnapping and murder of a young girl. Uhm Jung-hwa plays Ha-kyung, a mother whose daughter was kidnapped and murdered 15 years ago.
The story begins with Ha-kyung, who lost her daughter 15 years ago, continuing to gather information in the hopes of arresting the culprit. Detective Jeong-ho (Kim Sang-kyung), who is in charge of the case, informs her that the statute of limitations for the case will soon expire. One day, with five days left until the statute of limitations expires, Jeong-ho finds flowers offered at the crime scene and uses this as a clue to resume his investigation. However, he misses the culprit just before apprehending him, and the statute of limitations expires. A few days later, a kidnapping of a young girl occurs using the exact same method as 15 years ago, and the story takes a new turn.
Uhm Jung-hwa's portrayal of the deep grief of a mother who lost her daughter, her desire for revenge against the perpetrator, and her obsession earned her a Best Actress award at the Grand Bell Film Awards, South Korea's equivalent of the Oscars.
