This dark comedy film is directed by Kang Woo-suk. As the title suggests, "Wife Killer" tells the story of a man fed up with married life and plotting to kill his wife. Bong-soo, played by Park Joong-hoon, is fed up with living with his wife Seo-yeon (Choi Jin-sil) and, as he deepens his relationship with his mistress, Hyeri (Uhm Jung-hwa), he plans to kill her. The plan to eliminate his wife leads to one shocking incident after another, depicting the love-hate drama between the couple in a comical and satirical way.
Uhm Jung-hwa plays the role of Hyeri, the mistress of the protagonist Bong-soo. Hyeri is portrayed as someone who indirectly influences, though not directly, Bong-soo's plan to kill his wife. Her important role stimulates Bong-soo's desire to cheat and causes him to reexamine his relationship with his wife.
